Former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey Submits Innocent Plea to Accusations of Misleading US Legislators
Former FBI head James Comey has denied the charges to providing misleading information to US legislators and hindering a congressional proceeding.
The former director's attorney filed the plea on his behalf in a US district court in the Virginia city of Alexandria on Wednesday morning.
His attorney stated he would try to have the proceedings thrown out for multiple reasons including that his the accused, a critic of President Donald Trump, was being targeted.
